129.6 SQM Freestanding Store

Designed in collaboration with the M·A·C Global Team and the Regional China team and inspired by the vertical bamboo forests of China.

M·A·C 819 was a pilot store to test new retail design and improved Consumer Journey strategies in China. It was a ground up redesign effort between Global and the China Region.

Consumers enter into the Newness Zone defined by a grove of vertical screens. The sculptural Lip Color Wall slightly curves to “embrace” the consumer in this eye catching fixture. 

The store is tethered to the WeChat Mini Program allowing consumers to experience the store through their personal smartphones, from checking in to checking out and even personalizing their products. It was M·A·C’s first full Omni store and a critical success for the Brand and the China Region
